International Women's Day
International Women's Day is a day dedicated to honoring the achievements of women throughout history in the social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. It is typically a day for women from all different backgrounds and cultures all across the globe. The day, collectively founded by women, also brings attention to gender parity and women's rights. Global celebration of International Women’s Day is a time for reflection of how far women have come, advocacy for what is still needed, and action to continue breaking down barriers. With over a century of history, this is a growing movement cantered around unity and strength. Originally called National Woman’s Day, International Women’s Day has over a century old history.
