It Takes a Lifetime

Marriage is a commitment to life. It deepens and enriches every facet of life. It is a promise, a potential made in the hearts of two people who love each other and takes a lifetime to fulfil.

It is the best thing two people can find. It bring out the best things in each other. Like never before, It provides opportunity for sharing, and helps you to grow, to make you a better person. 

No relationship can be equal to this. It is both emotional, physical combined together and something that is promised for a lifetime. It enclose all of life's important relationships. 

They are individuals of their own, but within the bond of love, they are inseparable. A wife and a husband are to be each other's best friends. How? confidant, lover, teacher, listener, and critic to each other. 


There may come times when one partner is heartbroken or ill, the other partner's love resemble the parent or child's tender caring. It encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences, new ways of expressing a love and that bond is deeper than what you think.

Happiness is at fullest, memories are fresher, commitment is stronger. Even anger is felt more strongly and passes away more quickly. Marriage understands and forgives the mistakes which are unable to avoid in once life.

You would have questioned yourself, you would have doubted. There would have been times, you would have thought, what life is all about?  thinking about things that could been better....

But When two people pledge their love and care for each other in marriage, they create a spirit unique unto themselves which binds them closer and more closer as time passes. And this can't be explained in any spoken or written words.

Tanishq Advertisement Controversy

Yet another example of deeply rooted communal hatred and bullying came to the fore last week when Tanishq (a division of Titan from the Tata group) was forced to remove a beautiful advertisement on communal harmony. The ad under the Ekatvam series celebrating interfaith ties through the depiction of godbharai (baby shower) celebrations showing a Hindu daughter-in-law of in a Muslim household. It is an example of how a Muslim family tries to make its Hindu daughter-in-law happy. This ad posted on YouTube caused an instant uproar on social media, with racists blaming Tanishq for promoting ‘love jihad’ and threatening to boycott the brand. The trolling with #BoycottTanishq hashtag was so severe, and threats so dangerous, on Twitter, within a day Tanishq pulled out the ad.  Sadly, Titan’s buckling down under threats and removing this ad didn’t help much.
