Where To Look For?

You should take a Paracetamol, when you have fever. Without a fever if you take a Paracetamol, it’s only going to cause you side effects; when everything is going smooth. Only when you have problem you need a solution.

In the west, women were not treated in par with men. They were brutally abused and until recent years, they did even have voting rights. Millions of women have been burnt, they were treated like animals, they were used as objects and always as amusement articles. Therefore, for there was a need for Women’s Liberation Associations. But in India from our gods Bramha, has Saraswathi on his tongue, Narayan has Lakshmi in his bosom and Shiva has Parvathi has his other half. Where is the need for the Women’s Liberation Associations in India?, If we can follow Ancient Vadic Indian Culture.

Only if we want to follow and adapt western ideals, we take worst from all nations that’s India’s best. Every county has its Good and bad. We always have that beautiful idea, concept of taking the worst from all the nations and present the worst of ourselves. When we have everything in ourselves, we don’t know to glorify it. That’s the weakness of Indians! We have have so much in us, so much treasure in us. We Navayuga Sthree (present generation women), Gen-Y what we prefer to call, we just have our husbands name after our names, like Vishaka Hari, Meenakshi Sundaram, Vanitha Sidhart or whatever it is. We just have our husbands name after our name, but you know our Lords has their names after their wives names. Gouri Shankar, Lakshmi Narayana, Sita Ram, Janaki Vallab; that is the truth! Uma Maheshwar, Radha Krishna, you name it…You name any god, they went a step further, a step ahead. They had so much reverence for women, and we are trying to bring it down more and more. The problem is not only with the other gender, it’s with women also. So it calls for a synthesis, of both the gender to behave well so that they would respect us well.

Real beauty lies in dignity and decorum, and not in ridicule and derision. It is the present generation society which is treating women as just an entertainment parts. For example you see any advertisements, any soaps, TV serials, you just go through the newspapers or magazines or journals…..Any women would be just featured as an amusement article. And that’s not beauty. We think it is beauty, but it’s not. Beauty does not come from that. It comes from dignity.

Every Country looks to its scriptures and inspirational stories of men and women for guidance. What other culture has access to the sort of guidance regarding women that is contained in our revealed Hindu scriptures? Which other culture has scriptures that treat women with respect, not to mention reverence—and that speak of God as both male and female? What other culture has female leaders comparable to our great women gurus?

That’s why it is important to recollect few inspirational stories of ancient, age old stories from our own scriptures. Old is always gold! So we should remember the inspirational stories of women, whom have brought about a positive change throughout the world by their wisdom, by their will, by their courage and by their noble qualities. Because, their nobility has crossed all gender, all castes, all creed, and all nations.  By which we can look forward to the time, when women will once again be accorded respect and their rightful place in society—each one revered, whether she chooses to focus on the role of wife and mother or to become a scholar, philosopher, temple priest, medical practitioner, scientist, author, astronaut, artist or stateswoman.
